- Australia has now played 20 matches at a stretch without a drawwinning 18 and losing only 2- a new record for Australia. Thisbettered the previous sequence of 19 consecutive matches without adraw which Australia had from 1884-85 (v England,Adelaide) to 1891-92(v England,Adelaide). Australia is now inching towards England’salltime record of most consecutive matches without a draw.
