Unfortunately for anyone associated with the yellow and green side from East Anglia, they look utterly doomed.
On the other hand, the weaknesses of Sunderland and Newcastle give the Canaries a glimmer of survival hope and there is the slightest chance of reaching safety.
The bottom four are now cut off from the rest of the relegation battle and it looks as though only one of Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich will survive.
Norwich, for all their effort and desire, look to be the shortest on quality of these three sides. Wes Hoolahan’s occasional assist, or a freak goal from Cameron Jerome are not looking like they will be enough to keep up a side who have been one of the archetypal yo-yo clubs.
Alex Neil has tried and tried to halt Norwich’s dire form of late, but the match against Manchester City this weekend doesn’t give the Canaries much survival hope.
Norwich have picked up just one point out of the last 27 available to them.
Here are the FIVE fixtures that Norwich must target…
Good ol’ Tony
West Brom, in typical Pulis style, are sitting in the comfort of mid-table with little to play for at this stage of the season.
Pulis’ Baggies’ have put a run of form together of late, with three wins in their last four, and might be a good opponent to face in a couple of weeks.
Although the match is at the Hawthorns, The Baggies will be starting to relax and this could be an opportunity for a surprise win.
Visit of the Magpies
Speculation is rife around Newcastle at the moment and the Magpies are currently only behind Norwich on goal difference.
The Geordies are in need of a win just as much as Neil’s side and this game on April 2nd is the very definition of a 6-point clash.
Off to London
Palace are the only Premier League side in form anywhere near as poor as Norwich.
Alan Pardew’s side have been unlucky of late and Norwich fans will be hoping they haven’t ended their winless streak by the time they face each other near the start of April.
Hornets meet the Canaries
The dying form of Odion Ighalo has seen Watford slip in to the bottom half of the table and, as with West Brom, there is a chance the players will be thinking of their holidays by the time they face each other on April 23rd.
Watford have been the pick of the promoted this campaign, but the Canaries will need to win this one at Carrow Road if they are to avoid an immediate return to the second tier.
North-East battle
Norwich play both of their relegation rivals at home within a few weeks in April and it will be one of their biggest games of the season when Sunderland visit Carrow Road.
The Black Cats have been weak defensively for the majority of the this season, but they currently look in the best place of the three to avoid the drop.
