According to , issues over 'payment conditions' are dragging out Eze's proposed transfer to Tottenham and could mean the England international is available to play in Palace's Conference League qualifier against Fredrikstad on Thursday night. Spurs are believed to have reached a broad agreement with the Eagles over a £60 million (€69.3m/$81m) deal for the 27-year-old, who played in his current side's Premier League opener against Chelsea on Sunday.

Spurs have been in the market for a new attacking midfielder throughout the summer and their hand was somewhat forced when James Maddison suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, ruling him out of most of the 2025-26 campaign. Their move for Morgan Gibbs-White fell through after Nottingham Forest threatened legal action, but it is thought Eze is keen on joining Thomas Frank's side and a deal could be completed over the next week or so.
