Sporting have made their position clear and will not sell Inacio for anything less than €45 million (£38m/$49m). Given United’s recent shift toward prioritising younger players with long-term potential, Inacio’s price tag fits well within their new recruitment strategy of signing promising talents. His ability to play out from the back, composure on the ball, and experience at both club and international levels make him an ideal addition to the squad.

A defensive overhaul is likely at United in the summer, with several players expected to depart. Veteran defender Jonny Evans is set to leave, while Victor Lindelof is reportedly growing frustrated with his limited role and could seek a move. This creates an opportunity for fresh defensive signings like Inacio and Yoro to make their mark at Old Trafford.
However, United are also considering other options beyond the Sporting star. One of the names linked is Fenerbahce’s highly-rated teenager Yusuf Akcicek, who has already drawn comparisons to Raphael Varane, with former United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly impressed by his potential.
