Chelsea fans have been left underwhelmed by plans for a new stadium after losing faith in co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake.

Chelsea are currently discussing plans to build a new stadium with an increased capacity on a site at Earl's Court. The Blues are eager to boost capacity from 42,000 but have encountered difficulties when it comes to redeveloping their current Stamford Bridge home and have therefore switched focus to a new ground instead. However, the news does not appear to have gone down too well with supporters.

Chelsea fan @CFCLux_ was not impressed with the news, posting on X: "I can’t lie I’m thinking of stopping supporting this club if this happens."
Another supporter, @KierDoyle, took aim at the club's owners: "Trying to move out of Stamford bridge after spending the last 18 months calling fans customers to their face and acting accordingly, good luck with that."
And @MattDebonoAC posted: "To have any chance of getting this off the ground, you need to get the fans onside given the CPO hold the keys here. Haven’t done a great job of that so far."
Chelsea's fans were also handed a warning by @cfc_jw who wrote: "Completely in favour of this, but until our owners can be trusted at all I’ll vote against it with the CPO."
While Blues supporter @fuyu_cfc offered a fresh view on the situation: "if this happens they should give the stamford bridge entirely to the women’s team."

Chelsea fans have become disillusioned with the club since Todd Boehly and the Clearlake took over from Roman Abramovich. The Blues have gone on to bring in a host of players but have disappointed on the pitch and could only finish down in 11th place in the table last season. Boehly has also gone through a succession of managers in his short time at the club with Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor, Frank Lampard and Mauricio Pochettino all having been and gone.

Chelsea continue to work on stadium plans but it remains unclear if they will move or try to redevelop Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, fans will be hoping to see improved results on the pitch with Chelsea back in action on Saturday against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
