Pulisic has posted a personal-best return of 12 goals in the current campaign, with one of those being Milan’s 5,000th in their Serie A history. The 25-year-old has become a key part of Stefano Pioli’s plans, with the kind of consistency being found that proved so elusive in England.
WHAT DI CANIO SAID ABOUT PULISIC
Former Italy international Paolo Di Canio, who spent time in Serie A and the Premier League during his playing days, has told of why an American star is shining once again: “Pulisic has a great deal of experience, he has already won in his career. He is a player with pace, who controls the ball well, thinks quickly, and can do even better in Italy. The reason is that he is not finding the same injuries that slowed him down, so consequently he is finding consistency. He is a player who makes the difference: as a winger, he can cut inside, he can combine. In the most recent match, he sprinted to reach a tap-in after 50 metres. Those fresh legs are an important element.”
