Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter were delighted with Danny Fox’s performance in the 1-0 win over Rotherham on Saturday, with many convinced he was the man of the match.
The Millers came into the game with a defensive setup and neither side managed to record a shot on target in the first half at the City Ground. However, after the break Aitor Karanka’s side ramped up the pressure and record signing Joao Carvalho crashed a shot against the post.
Forest keeper Costel Pantilimon was only called into action once throughout the whole game, but it took the Reds 86 minutes to eventually break the deadlock. Winger Ben Osborn ran onto a Joe Lolley pass and was brought down by Rotherham’s Ryan Williams in the box, before Lewis Grabban converted the penalty to record his second goal in two games.
Fox though was extremely impressive for the Reds, after many fans had written him off when playing as a left-back earlier in his Forest career. Check out some of the best tweets in reaction to the 32-year-old’s performance below.
