The Crystal Palace striker – who is working hard on his fitness during the Eagles’ winter break – is an international teammate of Hazard’s, with the pair of them earning numerous caps for the Belgium national team.
Benteke has 37 appearances for his country under his belt, scoring a respectable 15 goals, whereas Hazard has a significantly higher amount of caps for Belgium, amassing 106 showings for his country while scoring 32 goals.
The former Chelsea attacker – who left Stamford Bridge to join Real Madrid in a deal worth £130m last summer – has struggled for fitness so far this term, making just eight outings in La Liga due to an ankle injury which he is only just returning from after two months out.
