Liverpool failed to win for the third successive game on Saturday after labouring to a 1-1 draw against Burnley at Anfield.
The Reds really needed a victory to keep pace on the teams at the top of the English Premier League table but against the resolute defence of Burnley could not find the necessary cutting edge to pick up all three points.
The result comes off the back of a demoralising 5-0 defeat to Manchester City last week and a 2-2 home draw to Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
After his substitute appearance in that Sevilla match, Philippe Coutinho was given the chance to shine by Jurgen Klopp but failed to really trouble Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.
Coutinho did get himself involved in the match with plenty of touches and passes forward, but the visitors were ultimately difficult to break down and he was eventually substituted off.
Liverpool fans were less than impressed with the returning Brazilian and took to Twitter to deliver their verdict on his performance…
