Liverpool admire Tottenham Hotspur winger Son Heung-Min ahead of the summer transfer window, per The Independent.
What’s the word?
The report states that the transfer committee at Anfield are fans of both Son and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

However, they are aware that their current interest is “immaterial” given the fact that neither Spurs or United are likely to countenance a sale.
Son has scored 13 goals this season, while also providing nine assists, and has scored twice in two games, against both Norwich City and Manchester City.
The Coutinho example
This might not be the worst thing in the world.
Per Transfermarkt, Son is valued at £72m, but there is a Liverpool example that Spurs could follow.
Philippe Coutinho was seen as an integral member of their squad but they sold him to Barcelona in 2018 for a fee of £142m.
Given his form and the fact that chairman Daniel Levy will surely hold out for the highest price possible, Spurs could receive a similar fee.
Liverpool, after the sale of the Brazilian, have become a much slicker, forward-thinking unit. They have utilised the trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino to devastating effect and, this season, they have scored 41 goals between them.
They do not even operate with a playmaker following Coutinho’s exit.
Spurs fans would surely rebel against the possibility of selling the South Korean, particularly to a direct domestic rival, but the reinvestment possibilities are such that this could well be a good thing in the long run.
Of course, Liverpool invested before the Brazilian left – Salah, Firmino, and Mane all signed prior to his departure – but the possibilities here are endless for Spurs; Son, actually, is potentially the most saleable asset the club currently have, especially given Harry Kane’s indispensability.
Spurs ought to think twice about warning the Reds off.
