In the wake of Santos' 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Vasco da Gama at the weekend, angry fans marched on the club's training ground to air their grievances at Neymar and the rest of the squad. According to ESPN, after the 33-year-old listened to supporters' complaints, he was also 'threatened with violence' before telling the group that "Santos are trying to change things".

Despite being promoted back to the Brazilian Serie A last season, Santos fans are clearly not happy with their league positioning of 15th and winning just six of their last 19 matches. Head coach Cleber Xavier was sacked after the Vasco da Gama drubbing, highlighting the club's malaise – even with Brazil superstar Neymar on board.
